Hublaagram vs. AiGrow – which app is best for free Instagram followers?
One of the most popular Instagram growth tools to emerge over the past couple years is Hublaagram. On their website, Hublaagram proclaims itself to be the internet’s best “Instagram auto liker, auto follower, and auto commenter tool” used to “increase Instagram likes and followers for free”.
Curiosity got the best of us, and we at AiGrow decided to put Hublaagram to the test to see how it performed against our smart automation growth engine.
Our comparison consisted of five categories:
- Connecting Instagram account
- How it works
A comparison between AiGrow and Hublaagram – which app is best for gaining free Instagram followers?
Finding the actual Hublaagram service to start with isn’t easy. A quick Google search of “Hublaagram” comes back with this:
I’ll save you the trouble now and tell you that none of the three websites listed as Hublaagram currently work. After signing into my Instagram account on the first Hublaagram site, I received this error message:
The second result faired no better. After simply clicking “Login” I was greeted with this screen:
The error message assured that the service would be back up-and-running by January 11, 2018. At the time of writing this, it is January 17th.
And so I downloaded Hublaagram’s app in the Android app store. After opening the app, I was brought to a home screen containing three buttons entitled “Step 1”, “Step 2,” and “Step 3”. What is Step 1, you ask?
Don’t tell anyone, but… I skipped step 1. I have this odd policy where I like to actually use an app before I give it a rating.
Step 2 was equally useless:
It’s in step 3 that you can find the app’s real bread and butter – instructions to download another app.
I headed to uptodown.com in my Android’s browser (the app is only available for Android and Windows phones) and risked the 3rd-party download.
Finally, after a half an hour of trial and tribulation, I had Hublaagram set up.
Simply type “AiGrow” into Google and click the first result, or type AiGrow.me into your search bar.
When on the homepage, click “Free Trial”.
Provide your name, email, and the desired password. Click “Register Now”.
Congrats! You’ve just set up AiGrow.
Connecting Instagram Account
Once you get past Hublaagram’s needlessly-complex setup, connecting your Instagram account is quite simple. Simply log in to your Instagram account as you would if you were on Instagram’s site.
After logging in you will be brought to your dashboard, which looks like this:
Here you can see all of your connected Instagram accounts (unlike Hublaagram, you can grow multiple accounts at once). To add a new account, click “Add Instagram Account”.
From here, simply log in to your Instagram account as you normally would on your phone.
Targeting options change depending on which feature you choose: InstaLike, InstaComment, or InstaFollow.
InstaLike allows you to specify how many likes you want to give, the maximum being 80, and wherein the world you want those likes to be distributed. For me, the options under “Location” were limited to “Canada” and “Worldwide” (this may change depending on where you are located).
InstaComment simply resulted in this screen with no apparent options:
InstaFollow didn’t even make it that far:
Even with InstaLike’s targeting options, there are questions left unanswered. What happens after 80 followers? Do I have to restart the cycle manually every time?
While it could certainly just be my incompetence, I also couldn’t find any semblance of a “Start” button for any of the three features.
With AiGrow you can auto like, auto comment, auto follow, auto unfollow, and even auto DM. To gain a sense of the number of targeting options available for each of these features, have a peek at the short video below.
Just some of the targeting options available to AiGrow users:
- Hashtag use
- Competitor connection
- Speed of distribution (“x” number of likes/comments/follows/unfollows per hour)
- Follow/unfollow cycles (example – after you follow 100 people, you will begin unfollowing those who haven’t followed you back)
How it works
Hublaagram describes itself as an “auto-exchange” service that attracts “real followers”. All this means is that it uses your Instagram account to like, comment and follow other channels with the anticipation that these channels will follow you back.
According to user reviews, however, this description doesn’t quite fit the results they received. Have a look at the following review (and the corresponding followers/following ratio):
It would appear in this case that, while Hublaagram initially provided the user with free followers, it quickly changed so as to just use his account to follow, comment, and like the channels of other Hublaagram users. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if you had control over what channels you were interacting with, but it seems that the user has little control over this.
I would obviously prefer to try the service myself, but as mentioned in the previous section, the combination of error messages and missing “Start” buttons made this impossible.
AiGrow takes the description above, an auto-exchange system that attracts real followers, and actually implements it correctly. Using the targeting options described above, AiGrow uses your account to automatically like, follow, unfollow, and comment on real channels with the intention of driving relevant traffic back to your channel (and ultimately converting that traffic to followers).
You don’t have to worry about engaging with irrelevant or risky channels – at no point will AiGrow perform any action from your Instagram account without your permission.
Although it is advertised as an automated service, the combination of constant requests to log out and log back in and maintenance errors requires users to always be checking in.
After setting up your targeting options, simply hit “Start Growth”. AiGrow will start to run and continue until you tell it to stop. And if for whatever reason something forces your growth to stop, we will let you know immediately through email and provide possible solutions, as shown in the example below:
Below is Hublaagram’s starter price package:
They also offer a free version of their app, which is what I used, but as stated above its functionality borders on useless.
Below is AiGrow’s starter price package:
AiGrow also offers a five-day free trial offering the full functionality of the app. It may be more expensive than Hublaagram, but the use of automated DMs and AiGrow’s Content Scheduler (post photos from your desktop for days, weeks, or months ahead) is also included.
Whether you’re looking at the initial setup, usability, number, and precision, of targeting options, authenticity of followers gained, or long-term maintenance, AiGrow emerges as the clear victor.
For those interested in trying it out for themselves, as all websites seem to not be working at the time of writing this, I would suggest downloading the Hublaagram app on your Android or Windows phone. For this interested in trying AiGrow, here is a link to the sign-up page.
