Method 1: Use an Online TikTok to MP3 Downloader
Several free web tools turn a TikTok link into an audio file. According to their own sites (checked October 2026), SSSTik, SaveTT and Tmate all offer MP3 downloads, and SaveTT and Tmate have dedicated TikTok MP3 pages. - Copy the link of the TikTok video that has the audio you want.
- Open the downloader in your phone or computer browser. You do not need to install anything.
- Paste the link into the box and tap Download.
- Pick the MP3 button instead of the video (MP4) button.
- Save the file. On a phone it usually goes to your Downloads folder or the Files app.
Expect ads and pop-ups, since these tools are free. Close anything that asks you to install an app or log in with your TikTok password. A downloader never needs your password.
Method 2: Convert a Saved TikTok Video to MP3
If the online tools fail, you can save the video first and then pull the audio out yourself. This works on any computer with the free VLC media player.
- Save the TikTok video as an MP4 (see our guide to the best TikTok video downloaders, or use TikTok’s own Save video if the creator allows it).
- Open VLC and go to Media → Convert / Save. On a Mac, use File → Convert / Stream.
- Add the MP4 file, then choose Convert / Save.
- Under Profile, select an Audio – MP3 option, choose a destination file name ending in .mp3, and press Start.
Menu names can differ slightly between VLC versions. Any video editor that can export audio only will do the same job.
Method 3: Save the Sound Inside TikTok
If you only want to reuse a sound in your own TikTok videos, you do not need a file at all. Tap the sound name or spinning disc at the bottom of the video and choose Add to Favorites. The sound is then saved in your Favorites when you create a new video. This keeps the audio inside TikTok, so it does not give you an MP3.

TikTok to MP3 Not Working? Try These Fixes
- No MP3 button: try another downloader, or use Method 2 and convert the saved video yourself.
- The link will not load: make sure the video is public and that you copied the full link from the Share menu.
- The creator turned off downloads: TikTok lets creators disable saving. Some tools may still fail on these videos, so respect the creator’s choice.
- The sound is unavailable: some music is restricted in certain regions or has been removed from the video.
- The file will not play: download again, or convert the MP4 to MP3 with VLC.

Can I download TikTok audio on iPhone?
Yes. The online tools run in the browser, so you can paste the link in Safari and save the MP3 from there. SaveTT says on its site that it works on iPhone, Android, iPad and desktop.
Does TikTok have a built-in MP3 download?
No. TikTok’s Save video option saves the video, with a watermark, and only when the creator allows it. To get just the audio, use one of the methods above.
