Planable Review (2026): Pricing, Features, Pros and Cons

Planable is a social media collaboration and approval tool built around one idea: teams and clients should create, review and approve posts together before they go live. It is popular with agencies and multi-brand companies that need clean client approvals. This review covers plans, add-ons, features, Instagram tools, strengths, weaknesses and what users say, including the complaints.

How we reviewed it: this review draws on Planable’s official pricing and product pages and on public user reviews, checked in October 2026. We are not affiliated with Planable. Prices and features change, so confirm current details on its website.

Key Takeaways

  • Approvals are the headline feature. Planable offers optional, required and multi-level approval flows, plus real-time comments directly on the post.
  • Priced per workspace. Basic is $33 and Pro is $49 per workspace per month as displayed, with unlimited users and no time limit on the first 50 free posts.
  • Analytics, inbox and listening are paid add-ons. Analytics is about $12 per workspace, the social inbox about $7.50 and social listening about $82.50 per month on the displayed prices.

What Is Planable?

Planable is a social media management platform that puts collaboration first. Posts look like they will on each network, and teammates and clients can comment, suggest edits and approve right on the post. After approval, the post is scheduled and published.

It is organized into workspaces. A workspace is a dedicated space for one client, brand or location, with its own pages, calendar, team, campaigns and approval flow. Users are unlimited on every plan, so you pay by workspace, not by seat.

Key Features

Content creation

Create posts for each network with real previews, AI post generation and rewriting, a built-in media editor, recurring posts, first comment scheduling and omnichannel planning. A media library stores assets (10 GB on Basic, 50 GB on Pro, custom on Enterprise).

Planning views and campaigns

Feed, calendar, grid and list views (2, 3 or 4 depending on the plan), drag-and-drop rescheduling, labels and campaigns that bundle briefs, assets and posts. Basic includes 3 campaigns per workspace, Pro 10 and Enterprise unlimited.

Collaboration and approvals

This is Planable’s strength. You can set a different approval flow for each workspace: none, optional, required (from Pro) or multi-level (Enterprise), such as team lead, client and legal. Other tools include team-only draft posts, text annotations and suggested edits, bulk approval, version history and team-only notes.

Scheduling and publishing

Publishing to nine platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, X and Google Business Profile. Basic allows 60 posts per workspace per month and Pro 150, while Enterprise is unlimited. Basic publishes only one tweet per 24 hours.

Social inbox (add-on)

A unified inbox for comments and DMs with AI replies, status organization and sentiment sorting. It is an add-on on Basic and Pro and included in Enterprise.

Analytics (add-on)

Cross-channel stats, page and post metrics, audience insights, custom reports, best time to post and competitor analytics. It is an add-on on Basic and Pro and included in Enterprise.

Social listening (add-on)

Tracks one brand and three topics with overall metrics, mentions, sentiment analysis and data exports via CSV, MCP and API. It is a paid add-on on every plan.

Integrations and automation

Canva, Slack and Zapier, an MCP connector for AI assistants, a public API on Pro and above, and SSO on Enterprise.

Planable for Instagram

Planable supports Instagram with direct publishing. Based on Planable’s own pages:

  • Direct publishing of posts, carousels, Stories and Reels.
  • First comment scheduling.
  • Feed and grid previews to see how the profile will look.
  • Mobile app reminders with push notifications for posts that need to be published manually.
  • Approval workflows so clients sign off on Instagram content before it goes live.
  • Instagram comments and DMs in the paid social inbox add-on.

Some reviewers mention restrictions and glitches with Instagram, so test your content types during the trial. Planable keeps your content organized and approved but does not grow followers. Figure 2. Planable scores highly on all three major review sites.

Reviewers praise the simple interface, easy collaboration with clients, strong support, and the AI and hashtag features. A few reviews score customer service and value for money lower. Planable also replies to most negative Trustpilot reviews, though not to all of them.

What Users Complain About: Negative Reviews Summary

Even with high scores, users raise some consistent complaints:

  • Limited analytics. The most common feature complaint. Deeper analytics need the paid add-on.
  • Per-workspace costs. Some agencies dislike paying for each client workspace and would prefer a bundled price.
  • Unclear pricing. A few users find the workspace-based structure and add-ons confusing.
  • Instagram limits and glitches. Occasional bugs with the Instagram integration and mobile app are mentioned.
  • Value for money. Some reviewers rate value lower than the rest of the product.
  • Account issues. One Trustpilot reviewer reported an account being canceled without notice.

How to protect yourself: use the 50 free posts to test Instagram publishing and approvals, count how many workspaces you will need, and add up the analytics, inbox and listening add-ons before comparing prices with other tools.
